Privacy Policy

AZ Lions Baseball  ·  Last updated July 19, 2026

AZ Lions Baseball (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates azlionsbaseball.com and an online store for team apparel. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We are a youth baseball program. Protecting the privacy of the children in our program and the families who support them is something we take seriously, and this policy reflects that.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you contact us or request a tryout: name, email address, phone number, your player’s name and age, and anything else you choose to include in your message.

When you place an order: name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and your player’s name, so we can get your order to the right family at practice.

When you register your player: contact information for the parent or guardian, the player’s name, date of birth, position, team placement, and emergency contact details.

When you leave a product review: your name, email address, and the content of your review.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our site we automatically receive certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and the site you came from. This is standard for websites and is used to understand how the site is performing.

Payment information

We never see or store your full payment card number. Payments are processed by our payment provider, who handles card data directly under their own security standards. We receive only the information needed to fulfill your order, such as the last four digits, the card brand, and whether the transaction succeeded.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill orders, including notifying you when your order is ready for pickup
  • Respond to inquiries, tryout requests, and questions about the program
  • Manage team rosters, practice schedules, and program communications
  • Send order confirmations and, where you have opted in, program updates
  • Maintain emergency contact information for players
  • Improve the site and understand how visitors use it
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell information about children under any circumstances.

3. Children’s Privacy

This section matters more to us than any other part of this policy.

Our website and store are directed at parents, guardians, coaches, and adults. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13.

Player registration is completed by a parent or guardian, not by the child. When a parent or guardian provides information about their player, they are consenting to our collection and use of that information for the purposes described in this policy.

Player names, photos, and video

We publish player profiles, photographs, and highlight video on our website, our YouTube channel, and our social media accounts. These profiles may include a player’s first and last name, jersey number, position, team, and playing statistics.

We publish this content only with parent or guardian permission, obtained through a signed media release. We limit published information to what is appropriate for a public athletic profile. We do not publish a player’s date of birth, home address, school, phone number, email address, or medical information.

Contact regarding any player is routed through the club, not directly to families. Inquiries from coaches, scouts, or anyone else come to us at (623) 396-3759 and we pass them along to the family. We do not publish family contact information.

Withdrawing permission

A parent or guardian may ask us at any time to remove their player’s name, photograph, video, or profile from our website and social channels. Contact us and we will remove it promptly. Content already downloaded or shared by third parties may be outside our control, but we will remove everything we host.

We will also, on request from a parent or guardian, tell you what information we hold about your player, correct it, or delete it.

If you believe we have collected information from a child in a way that is inconsistent with this policy, please contact us immediately and we will address it.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only with service providers who help us operate the program and the store, and only to the extent they need it. These include:

  • Payment processing for handling transactions securely
  • Website hosting for operating the site
  • Email delivery for order confirmations and program communications
  • Analytics for understanding site traffic
  • Content delivery and security for site performance and protection

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices. We choose providers that we believe handle data responsibly.

We may also disclose information if required by law, if necessary to protect the safety of a child or any person, or in connection with a legal claim.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing.

5. Cookies

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your device.

Essential cookies keep the site working. These remember what is in your shopping cart, keep you logged in, and handle security. The site cannot function properly without them.

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the store from working correctly.

6. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as we need it.

  • Order records are kept as long as required for tax, accounting, and dispute resolution purposes
  • Player registration and emergency contact information is kept for the duration of a player’s participation and for a reasonable period afterward
  • Inquiry and tryout requests are kept until resolved and for a reasonable period afterward
  • Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s standard periods

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it non-identifiable.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you or your player
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Request deletion of your information or your player’s information, subject to records we are required to keep
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link, or by contacting us. You will still receive transactional messages such as order confirmations
  • Withdraw media permission for your player at any time, as described in Section 3

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy laws. We honor applicable rights regardless of where you are.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure hosting, access controls, and a payment provider that keeps card data off our systems entirely.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the responsibility seriously and act promptly if we become aware of a problem.

9. Third-Party Links

Our site links to other websites, including our YouTube channel and social media pages. This policy does not cover those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any site you visit.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our program and store change. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make a significant change to how we handle information, particularly information about children, we will make a reasonable effort to notify affected families directly.
